Hello Everyone,
Hans and I have been working hard in the studio this past month on both large and small works, April will be bring a lot of new finished pieces. What has been completed so far is my first of several paintings from our Costa Rica Trip.

Show Updates:
Hans and I entered the Laurel Art Guild 42nd Annual Open Juried Exhibition this past month which will be up until the end of March. Hans won Honorable Mention for his work entitled "Autumn Icons"
 




I won First Place for my piece entitled "Ornate Magnolias"
 



Hans and I are getting ready for our works to be shipped out to Greenhouse Gallery, located in San Antonio TX, the exhibition will be up from April 2-22.


Hans and I are also prepping some new works for sale and display at the Schuler School of Fine Arts Open Juried Exhibition "Flora and Fauna".  This show and contest is open to all artists. The deadline for submission is due postmarked  April 25 and the show opens May 14 - 20. For more information please visit the School's website www.schulerschool.com
 
Classes offered.....
 
We are offering a Open Painting Session for $30 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Glyndon, MD . We run classes every Monday from 1-4 with a short break usually in the Summer, please email us for more details.

We also offering our Saturday Classes at the Schuler School from 10-1, ages 13 and up. For younger students and beginners we have  a set 4 week program with an at cost supply kit, $35. Classes are $160 for a 4 week time block with one allowable make up class per block of classes, there is a one time application fee of $25 for new students to the School.  Please email us for more details or you can download the application at www.schulerschool.com.  

Thursday, April 21, I will be holding a scratchboard workshop at the Mitchell School of Fine Arts from 9:30-1:30 for $75 which includes all of the supplies needed. You will learn a breif history of the technique, see examples of works completed,  a demonstration, and time to work on your own scratchboard. Please register early. Friday's Hans is offering a Open Figure Drawing/ Painting Session at the Schuler School for $10 each session, from 7-10pm. For more information please email us or contact the School 410-685-3568
