WORKSHOPS/ EVENTS...
I held two Animal Portraiture Workshops this Summer. This is one of my favorite workshops that I teach because I get to work with the subject matter I love most. In this workshop students work on their paintings for 5 consecutive days with the goal of completing their paintings. I had a wonderful group of artists this year in both workshops and I am looking forward to teaching this again next year!

In late June, Hans preformed at the International Bio Conference in the DC Convention center. Dressed as Rembrandt, he copied Vermeer's "The Geographer" on one day and Rembrandt's "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp" the next day and a half. It was for the Netherlands booth that claimed to be the "Dutch Masters of Bio".

In late July, Hans delivered a speech in the Association of Medical Illustrators annual conference; this years convention was in Baltimore. His speech touched on the Didusch and Schuler family's link in medical illustration history and the Schuler School of Fine Arts continuing in those traditions.
Thank you all for reading our newsletter, we look forward to sharing more of our artworks with you.
Sincerely, Hans and Beth
